Title: Systems Modeling, simulation & Analysis Engineer
Location: Lexington, MA
Hybrid role.

Background:
Group Mission is to defend and protect our warfighters, naval fleet, and surface-based assets by developing advanced sensors, electronic warfare systems, and battle management technologies to counter evolving threats. Of particular interest to the group is the development of: software-reconfigurable electronic warfare systems and prototypes, advanced signal processing algorithms for signal exploitation, resource coordination techniques for enhanced battle management, and artificial intelligence to enable the development of next generation countermeasures, sensors, and enhanced human-machine teaming for fleet defense. Major activities within the group include concept development, systems analysis and architectures, algorithms design and development, hardware prototype system design and development, and experimental field testing and data analysis.

The successful candidate will have a broad background with relevant sensor system analysis and signal processing experience. The successful candidate will work with both large and small teams and be capable of working within those teams as well as taking initiative independently. This individual will serve in a support role to help technical staff implement innovations.

Required Skills:
• BS in Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related field. Seeking candidates with a minimum of 3 years applicable experience.
• Relevant experience performing either systems analysis or data analysis.
• Candidate should have experience in several of the following fields: sensor systems engineering, radar data analysis, autonomy and machine learning, statistical data analysis.
• Candidate must be able to explore innovative techniques and algorithms and be able to understand how these new developments can affect an existing sensor system’s capabilities.
• Proficiency with MATLAB
• Candidate must have good organizational skills with the ability to complete assignments working independently and in a team environment, and effectively present results.
• Effective communication with colleagues, sponsors, and other research sites.

Preferred Skills:
• Experience with radar systems analysis.
• C or C++ programming experience, along with Linux experience.
• Python
• Ability to participate in field experiments and data collection efforts, which could involve domestic travel (5%)
• MS preferred
