Real Estate / Financial Services Legal Assistant – Vancouver

Position: Legal Assistant

Our client is a leading full‑service law firm with a strong footprint across Western Canada.

The Vancouver office is currently seeking an experienced Real Estate / Financial Services Legal Assistant to support a busy and sophisticated practice. This role involves assisting lawyers on a broad range of residential, commercial, and financial services transactions, including property acquisitions and sales, real estate and land development matters, and financing transactions.

Compensation:
Base salary range of $60,000 – $75,000, commensurate with skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities

Managing files from opening to closing, supporting a team of lawyers and collaborating with other team members to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and consistent follow‑up
Performing administrative tasks including billing and following up on outstanding accounts
Coordinating and facilitating document preparation
Communicating with clients regarding file‑related matters
Conducting electronic inquiries and document filings with BC Registries and Online Services and the Land Title and Survey Authority (myLTSA)
Prioritizing and diarizing workflow to meet internal and external deadlines
Supporting the learning and mentoring of team members
Assisting colleagues and taking on additional duties as required to support overall team success

Qualifications

Graduate of a recognized Legal Assistant program or equivalent
Five or more years of experience in real estate development, subdivision, and/or financial services (considered a strong asset)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Strong work ethic, initiative, and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced and evolving practice
Experience with BC Registries and Online Services and the Land Title and Survey Authority (myLTSA)
High attention to detail, accuracy, confidentiality, dependability, and organization
