The Role

As the Assistant Manager – Treasury, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the Group's financial health. Reporting to the Group Treasurer, you will be responsible for managing liquidity, navigating volatile currency markets, and ensuring the seamless execution of banking operations.

Job Function

Liquidity Planning: Prepare and monitor comprehensive short-term and long-term cash flow forecasts to support strategic liquidity planning and optimize working capital.
Funding & Trade Finance: Assist in managing the Group’s funding requirements, ensuring the maintenance and renewal of bank credit lines and trade facilities.
Banking Relationships: Act as a key point of contact for banks and financial institutions, managing daily transactions and nurturing long-term banking partnerships.
FX & Risk Management: Execute foreign exchange transactions and support the development of hedging strategies to mitigate currency risk in a fluctuating economic landscape.
Compliance & Governance: Ensure timely treasury reporting and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Stakeholder Relations: Support Investor Relations by providing data for financial communications and assisting in the preparation of treasury-related disclosures for annual reports.
Operational Excellence: Assist in optimizing treasury processes and driving efficiency improvements within the function.
Market Insight: Monitor local and global market trends, specifically interest rates and exchange rates, providing timely updates and insights to senior management.

Candidate Profile
Educational Background: A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, or Mathematics. Full or part professional qualification in CASL, CIMA, or ACCA is mandatory.
Experience: A minimum of 3–5 years of progressive experience within a Group Treasury function or a sophisticated Corporate Finance environment. Exposure to multi-sector operations and a proven track record in active liquidity management will be highly regarded."
Analytical Prowess: Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle). You should be comfortable modeling complex financial scenarios.
Communication: Exceptional command of English (both written and verbal), with the ability to present financial data clearly to diverse stakeholders.
Integrity: High level of ethical standards, essential for managing significant financial assets and sensitive information.
