Graduate Software Engineer – DSP (Embedded Systems)

We’re working with a world-renowned audio technology company based in Laverstock, Hampshire who are looking for a Graduate Software Engineer to join their R&D team. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate with academic experience in DSP and embedded systems to develop their skills in a hands-on, innovative environment.

Responsibilities for the Graduate Software Engineer – DSP job:

Prototyping DSP algorithms developed during your studies in MATLAB and implementing them in C on embedded hardware.
Developing and supporting real-time embedded systems for audio applications.
Writing drivers for peripherals and assisting with hardware bring-up on prototype PCBs.
Collaborating with engineers across software, electronics, and acoustics.
Documenting designs and participating in peer code reviews.

Skills & experience required for the Graduate Software Engineer – DSP job:

Recent graduate in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
Solid C programming skills and knowledge of embedded systems.
Academic experience in digital signal processing (DSP) techniques such as filters, FFT, sample rate conversion, or dynamic range control.
Interest in audio and music technology.
Some familiarity with electronics and debugging is advantageous but not essential.
Motivated, curious, and collaborative mindset.
