About the Opportunity

The Data Management Specialist is a vital global-facing role responsible for the architecting, creation, and maintenance of Finished Good (FG) Item Codes within global enterprise systems. You will act as the custodian of the "Item Master," ensuring that product data is perfectly synchronized across ERP platforms, technical databases, and international marketing classifications.

This role is particularly critical during high-impact organizational phases, such as ERP implementations and company acquisitions, where you will lead the migration and validation of massive datasets to ensure business continuity across Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Sales.

Location: Makola, Sri Lanka (Global Support Office)

Your Role and Impact

Lifecycle Management: Take full ownership of the creation and maintenance of Finished Good codes and technical attributes for the Global Item Master.
Accuracy & Validation: Verify and cross-reference data across ERP platforms, technical databases, and external sources to ensure 100% accuracy.
Sensitive Information Handling: Manage and protect sensitive commercial and technical data (pricing, tax, and technical specs) with a high degree of confidentiality and integrity.
Tool Optimization: Utilize advanced system tools and automation to streamline high-volume data entry, updates, and maintenance schedules.
Migration Strategy: Provide subject matter expertise for Item Master migration projects during ERP rollouts or new company acquisitions.
System Integration: Work closely with IT teams to ensure that item attributes are mapped correctly across diverse software ecosystems to maintain data quality.
Stakeholder Alignment: Collaborate with Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Sales, and Marketing teams to ensure data reflects correct classifications and operational needs.
Support: Act as the primary point of contact for resolving complex data-related issues that impact the manufacturing or sales cycles.

Education & Experience

Education: A University Degree in Business Management, Data Science, Economics, Marketing or related dicipline.
ERP Proficiency: Proven experience working with ERP systems; hands-on knowledge of Infor M3 ERP is a significant advantage.
Data Management: Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale, complex datasets and understanding "Item Master" logic and hierarchy.

Technical & Soft Skills

Communication: Exceptional fluency in English (written and verbal) is mandatory for collaborating with global teams.
Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify patterns and anomalies within large data sets.
Independence: The ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision while meeting strict project deadlines.
