Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related).
Additional certifications in project management or safety are an advantage.
Experience
3–7 years of engineering experience in construction or industrial projects.
Experience in coordinating field construction activities in multi-disciplinary environments.
Knowledge of engineering drawings, standards, and field QA/QC procedures.
Skills
Strong understanding of project execution processes.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Strong communication and coordination abilities.
Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project/Primavera (optional), and basic AutoCAD.

Main responsibilities
Project Engineer
Location: Construction Site / Field
Department: Project / Construction
Reports to: Project Manager / Construction Manager / Discipline Lead

1. Role Purpose
To support and coordinate all field engineering and construction activities, ensuring the project is executed safely, on schedule, within scope, and in full compliance with design, quality, and contractual requirements.

2. Key Responsibilities
A. Field Engineering & Technical Support
Interpret IFC drawings, specifications, method statements, and design documents for site teams.
Provide technical guidance to supervisors, foremen, and contractors.
Resolve engineering issues arising during construction; raise RFIs when needed.
Participate in reviews of shop drawings, red-mark drawings, and as-built documentation.
Validate material take-offs (MTO) and monitor material usage at site.
B. Construction Coordination
Coordinate daily work activities with civil, mechanical, electrical, and other discipline teams.
Support construction sequencing, work fronts planning, and daily/weekly execution plans.
Monitor progress, identify delays, and propose corrective measures.
Ensure that contractors follow project procedures, standards, and HSE requirements.
C. Quality & Compliance
Ensure construction works meet approved drawings, specifications, and QA/QC standards.
Conduct inspections with QA/QC and sign off ITP hold/witness points when required.
Verify compliance with permit-to-work (PTW), risk assessments, lift plans, etc.
D. Schedule & Reporting
Track and report daily and weekly progress against the project schedule.
Support preparation of look-ahead plans, manpower forecasts, and resource planning.
Contribute to project dashboards, punch list creation, and progress measurement.
E. Stakeholder & Interface Management
Coordinate with subcontractors, engineering teams, and client representatives.
Attend daily coordination, HSE, and progress meetings.
Follow up on action items and ensure timely closure.
F. Change Management & Documentation
Identify potential scope changes and support preparation of change requests/claims.
Maintain field engineering logs, NCRs, RFIs, and technical records.
Support turnover packages and commissioning handover documentation.
