Focused within high-end commercial interiors, luxury residential projects, hospitality environments, custom casework, panel systems, wall cladding, reception desks, fixture packages, and specialty fabrication this firm has carved a niche for very high-end work throughout the five boroughs and deep into Long Island.

Your new role
As a Assistant Project Manager specializing within the millwork trade the successful candidate will thrive in a fast paced, high expectation environment. This role is for someone who wants to take ownership, solve problems, and grow into a Project Manager position rather than simply provide support. You will be directly involved in active project execution, including scheduling, cost tracking, vendor coordination, and client communication. This position requires the ability to anticipate issues before they arise and to keep projects moving forward with confidence and urgency.

Responsibilities

Support Project Managers in planning, execution, and closeout of multiple projects
Track schedules, deadlines, deliverables, and critical milestones
Prepare and manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and purchase orders
Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, clients, and internal departments
Monitor job costs, budgets, and material procurement
Assist with labor planning, site logistics, and delivery coordination
Attend project meetings and provide clear follow‑ups and action tracking
Maintain accurate and organized digital and physical project files
Identify risks, delays, or cost issues early and escalate when necessary
Help enforce company safety standards and quality expectations
Provide regular status updates to leadership

What you'll need to succeed

1 to 3 years’ experience in millwork, construction, or manufacturing
Ability to read drawings or blueprints is strongly preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Experience with ERP or project management software is a plus
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent communication and follow‑through
Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
