Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Bankruptcy Attorney to join Our Client's legal team. This Associate Attorney position offers the opportunity to handle a wide range of bankruptcy matters in a remote work environment. You will be responsible for managing bankruptcy cases from inception through resolution, working with clients and opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes.

Must-Haves

Active bar license in Maryland and/or Virginia
Local residency in Baltimore, MD or Alexandria, VA
Demonstrated experience or coursework in bankruptcy law

Primary Functions

Prepare, review, and approve bankruptcy-related pleadings and legal documents
Handle all aspects of bankruptcy matters including Proof of Claims, Motions for Relief, Objections, Responses to Objections, Payment Change Notices, Settlements, and Adversary Proceedings
Participate in mediations, depositions, telephonic hearings, and in-person hearings
Conduct regular client meetings and provide case updates
Manage and prioritize a large caseload effectively

Required Skills

Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
Licensed and in good standing with the Maryland and Virginia State Bars
0-3 years of bankruptcy law experience
Ability to manage and prioritize a large caseload
Strong written and verbal communication skills
