About the Role

Our client, a well-established and busy litigation firm in Vancouver, is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to support one partner and one associate within their litigation practice.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented LAA with 3–5 years of experience, ideally within insurance defence, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys managing a high volume of work.

Key Responsibilities

Open and close client files
Organize and maintain both physical and electronic file systems
Review incoming correspondence and prepare responses
Draft, edit, and format legal documents under lawyer/paralegal direction
Manage calendars, including scheduling discoveries, trials, client meetings, and expert appointments
Assist with trial preparation and related materials
Prepare and maintain Lists of Documents
Provide administrative support throughout the full lifecycle of files

Qualifications & Experience

3–5 years of experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant, preferably within litigation (insurance defence strongly preferred)
Graduate of a recognized Legal Administrative Assistant program or equivalent education
Strong knowledge of court rules, procedures, and litigation processes
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort learning new systems and software
