Mid-Level Security Consultant (Physical Security Design)

Location: Philadelphia, PA or New York, NY (Hybrid/Remote options available)

About the Role

We are working with a leading, publicly traded consulting firm with a rapidly growing Technology & Acoustics group (125+ professionals). They are seeking a Mid-Level Security Consultant to support the design and delivery of security systems across high-security environments, including correctional facilities, courthouses, and public safety infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Design and consult on physical security systems, including:
- Access control
- Video surveillance (CCTV/VMS)
- Intrusion detection
Support projects across correctional facilities, justice environments, and other public-sector infrastructure
Produce design documentation, specifications, and system layouts
Collaborate with internal teams, architects, and clients to deliver integrated solutions
Participate in site visits, assessments, and client meetings as required
Ensure designs meet high-security and regulatory requirements

What They’re Looking For

3–8+ years of experience in security consulting or security system design
Strong understanding of physical security systems and design principles
Experience working in a consulting environment (not purely installation/integration)
Ability to operate in high-security / high-risk environments
Strong communication skills and ability to engage with clients and stakeholders

Preferred Experience

Experience with correctional facilities, prisons, courthouses, or public safety projects
Exposure to large-scale or complex infrastructure projects
Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in security design

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $140,000 – $175,000 (depending on experience)

Philadelphia: Hybrid (in-office presence expected on Wednesdays for those within commuting distance)
New York: Primarily remote, with optional office access
