What You Will Do

The Account Executive (Independent Grocers) is responsible for increasing market share of the brands we represent by developing and maintaining relationships with key independent retailers, including Vallarta, North Gate and Superior, in Southern California. The position is high-visibility and involves presenting our client products at retail headquarters, road show events, and cold-calling. The Account Executive will serve as an advocate for our Client products to ensure they receive proper placement in respective retail establishments. This position interfaces with retail customers as well as various members of the Alliance team including Customer Service and Administrative Support teams.

Responsibilities:

Implement customer headquarter calls and penetrate key positions in retailer departments.
Own and drive revenue growth; identify opportunities, utilize forecasting methods, and align business unit resources to secure those opportunities.
Consistently maintain 100% Client satisfaction.
Meet and exceed Client goals for sales, distribution, pricing, shelving, and promotional volume.
Manage and maximize manufacturer marketing/promotional funds to achieve sales goals while staying within financial guidelines.
Participate in Client market visits and key account calls.
Communicate Client priorities to Retail organizations to ensure in-store presence and business objectives.
Provide feedback on the effectiveness of selling programs and initiatives and suggestions on how to further maximize sales growth.
Other duties as assigned by Management.

Who You Are

You are a bilingual (English/Spanish) sales professional with direct experience calling on Southern California independent grocery chains, including Vallarta, Northgate, and Superior. You bring a proven track record of meeting deadlines, exceptional organizational skills, and a sharp attention to detail that ensures accuracy in all aspects of their work. This individual thrives both independently and collaboratively, making them equally effective managing their own territory and contributing within a team environment.

Qualifications:

BA/BS from an accredited college or university preferred or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of three to five (3-5) years of Category/CPG/Retail B2B Sales experience, preferably with a food & beverage broker.
Ability to analyze data and make recommendations from the results.
Proven track-record in sales, presentations, development, and closing skills.
Must have a valid driver license and reliable transportation as position will require travel to multiple sites.
Able to travel (including overnight(s)) up to 10% of the time.
Computer literate with a high degree of proficiency in Windows and related software applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, database management, client/customer portals, etc.
Ability to read and understand promotional planners.
Excellent presentation skills coupled with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Effectively partner with internal teams and management.
Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
