Assistant Management Accountant

Harrogate | Hybrid Working | up to £32k DOE

If you’re at the stage where you’ve moved beyond pure transactional finance and want to get properly involved in month-end and reporting, this is the kind of role that gives you that step.

You’ll be joining a team responsible for producing full management accounts packs across a portfolio of sites. It’s detailed work, fairly fast-moving at month-end, and relies on people who are organised, comfortable with numbers, and able to keep things accurate without overcomplicating them.

What you’ll actually be doing

A lot of your time will revolve around month-end - helping pull together the numbers, making sure everything lines up, and producing reports that other teams rely on.

That includes:

Posting journals, accruals and prepayments
Reconciling balance sheets and bank accounts
Supporting revenue and cost allocations across multiple sites
Pulling together management accounts and financial packs
Acting as a point of contact for queries from property teams
Getting stuck into anything that needs sorting during month-end

It’s hands-on, and there’s a fair bit of ownership once you’re up to speed.

Has already worked in finance and understands the basics
Has had some exposure to month-end (even if not full ownership)
Is comfortable using Excel and working with data
Can stay organised when things get busy
Communicates clearly without overcomplicating things

You’ll be based in Harrogate, working as part of a team that produces reporting across multiple sites.
