Client: A leading Financial Inclusion & Community Lending Institution

1. Role Summary

The Loan Product Manager is responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of digital and traditional lending products. You will design, launch, and optimize credit products that meet the needs of underserved markets while ensuring commercial viability and technical scalability.

2. Core Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Design: Define the roadmap for new lending products (e.g., Nano-loans, SME credit, Agriculture financing) from concept to market launch.
Feature Engineering: Translate business requirements into technical specs for developers, focusing on instant approval workflows and automated disbursement.
Credit Innovation: Collaborate with risk teams to integrate AI-driven alternative scoring data into the product journey.
UX/UI Optimization: Ensure the digital loan application process is frictionless, requiring minimal data entry for field users and mobile clients.
Performance Monitoring: Track key metrics such as Product Adoption Rate, Portfolio at Risk (PAR), and Loan Conversion Rates to iterate on product features.

3. Operational & Technical Collaboration

Stakeholder Management: Work closely with IT Operations, Legal, and Compliance to ensure products are secure and meet regulatory standards.
Vendor Integration: Manage relationships with third-party providers (e.g., e-KYC services, credit bureaus, and payment gateways).
Agile Leadership: Lead the product squad through sprints, backlog grooming, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

4. Required Experience & Skills

Experience: 4+ years in Product Management, specifically within Lending, Fintech, or Retail Banking.
Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of the credit lifecycle (Origination, Underwriting, Servicing, and Collections).
Tech Savvy: Familiarity with API-led connectivity, Mobile App development cycles, and Data Analytics (SQL/Python).
Mindset: User-centric approach with a passion for driving financial inclusion through technology.
