The Opportunity

TheRightTalent Sri Lanka is representing a mission-driven non-banking financial institution (NBFI) that is a cornerstone of grassroots economic empowerment in the region. As the organization transitions into a digital-first service provider, maintaining the highest standards of integrity and regulatory adherence is paramount. We are seeking a detail-oriented Compliance Executive to ensure our operations remain ethical, transparent, and fully compliant with national financial regulations.

Core Responsibilities

1. Regulatory Compliance & Monitoring

Statutory Adherence: Ensure all business activities comply with the guidelines set by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) and other relevant regulatory bodies.
Policy Implementation: Assist in developing and updating internal policies related to AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and KYC (Know Your Customer) protocols.
Regular Audits: Conduct periodic compliance reviews of branch operations and digital transaction logs to identify and mitigate potential risks.

2. Financial Inclusion Governance

Fair Lending Practices: Monitor lending processes to ensure they align with "Responsible Lending" charters and consumer protection codes.
Data Privacy: Ensure the handling of client data, especially for digital products, complies with the Personal Data Protection Act.
Social Performance: Verify that the institution's products are reaching the intended underserved segments without predatory practices.

3. Reporting & Documentation

Submission Management: Prepare and submit accurate compliance reports to regulatory authorities and the Board Risk Committee.
Incident Tracking: Maintain a comprehensive log of compliance breaches or "near-misses," ensuring timely corrective actions are taken.
Training: Assist in conducting compliance awareness sessions for field staff and digital product teams.

Required Profile

Experience: 2–4 years of experience in Compliance, Internal Audit, or Risk Management within the Financial Services, Banking, or Insurance sector.
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB), Finance, or Business Management. Professional certifications (e.g., CAMS or ICA) are a distinct advantage.
Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of the Sri Lankan financial regulatory landscape and AML/CFT frameworks.
Analytical Skills: High level of attention to detail with the ability to spot patterns of non-compliance in large datasets.
