Stemgenic is proud to be partnering exclusively with a growing international specialty chemicals manufacturer establishing a new manufacturing facility in Singapore as part of its Asia-Pacific expansion strategy.

The company is recognised globally for its expertise in high-performance polyurethane, epoxy, silicones, adhesives, sealants, and advanced material technologies — supporting industries such as e-mobility, energy storage, automotive electronics, industrial systems, and electrical engineering applications.

Role Summary

A rare greenfield opportunity to establish and lead the HR function for a new specialty chemicals manufacturing operation in Singapore. As the standalone HR lead for the Singapore entity, you will take ownership across the full employee lifecycle while supporting the operational build-up of the plant.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the full employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, performance management, compensation administration, and offboarding
Support workforce planning and manpower coordination across production, quality, warehouse, HSE, and support functions
Coordinate payroll activities, work-pass administration, HR compliance, and employee relations matters
Develop HR policies, operational workflows, and HR frameworks aligned with Singapore labour regulations
Partner closely with plant leadership and overseas stakeholders during the startup and ramp-up phase
Support a positive, compliant, and operationally focused manufacturing culture

Ideal Background

Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience
Manufacturing or industrial HR experience strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of Singapore Employment Act and MOM practices
Hands-on exposure across recruitment, payroll, compliance, and HR operations
Comfortable operating independently within a startup manufacturing environment
