Overview

Gigantes Group has been retained by a global Tier-1 leader in the photovoltaic (PV) solar industry to recruit a dynamic and high-performing Sales Manager for Utility-Scale Projects. This exciting role offers an outstanding career perspective within a globally top-ranked clean energy organization looking to expand its footprint in large-scale infrastructure.

In this position, you will own the commercial growth and customer strategy for grid-scale assets within your assigned territory, with a primary focus on expanding utility market share in Colombia. Operating in a remote-first setup with frequent travel, you will bridge the gap between large-scale energy demand and our client's world-class multi-megawatt solar technology pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

Utility Market Ownership: Find, qualify, and secure high-value pipeline opportunities while cultivating deep brand loyalty within the utility-scale PV client segment.
Strategic Account Management: Maintain and expand relationships with strategically important large accounts, serving as their dedicated partner to achieve designated gigawatt/megawatt sales quotas.
Cross-Functional Synergy: Liaise directly between customers and internal cross-functional groups (including Technical Service, Logistics, and Business Management Offices) to guarantee the successful delivery of massive equipment orders.
Forecasting & Metrics: Prepare precise sales forecasts, track key account metrics, proactively identify grid-scale territory growth opportunities, and clearly communicate quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
Proactive Solution Development: Constantly assess, clarify, and validate localized utility customer needs, leading collaborative efforts with internal staff to engineer tailored commercial and technical configurations.
Market Intelligence & Tendering Support: Conduct deep market research to evaluate local grid constraints, power market trends, and utility procurement frameworks; support the Business Development team in co-marketing and strategic tendering activities.

Requirements

Experience: At least 2+ years in successful sales positions, with recent and relevant sales experience specifically within the utility-scale PV (Solar) industry across the region.
Market & Regulatory Knowledge: A proven track record of target execution within the specific country market, backed by a strong understanding of local utility energy laws, grid connection policies, and regulations.
Education: A University Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a highly related technical field.
Language Skills: Professional proficiency in English is required.
Working Style: An autonomous, self-starting working style paired with excellent high-stakes contract negotiation skills.
Mobility: Willingness and ability to work remotely within the region, with the flexibility to undertake frequent travel to interface directly with customers and project sites.
