Field Engineer

Job Purpose

To coordinate and supervise field engineering activities, ensuring engineering solutions are implemented safely, efficiently, and in line with project requirements. The Field Engineer acts as the main technical interface between the client, contractors, and the project team during execution.

Main Responsibilities

Coordinate field engineering activities throughout the project.
Serve as the main engineering interface with contractors.
Review engineering solutions and resolve technical issues during execution.
Manage engineering changes and ensure proper implementation.
Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with project requirements.

Key Activities

Coordinate engineering support for site construction activities.
Review and evaluate engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
Identify technical issues and propose practical engineering solutions.
Coordinate with contractors to resolve engineering queries.
Manage and document field engineering changes.
Ensure engineering modifications are properly reviewed, approved, and implemented.
Participate in technical meetings with the client and contractors.
Monitor work progress and report engineering issues affecting schedule or quality.
Provide technical support during construction, testing, and commissioning activities.
Prepare engineering reports and maintain project documentation.
Ensure all engineering activities comply with project specifications and applicable standards.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or a related Engineering discipline.
Minimum 10 years of experience as a Field Engineer on industrial, oil & gas, energy, or EPC projects.
Strong experience coordinating engineering activities during project execution.
Good understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, and construction practices.
Experience working with contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Professional knowledge of English and Italian is preferred.
