Our client, a leading hotel in Kingston, is seeking professional, customer-focused On-Call Banquet Servers to support conferences, weddings, banquets, corporate functions, and special events. The successful candidates will play a key role in delivering exceptional food and beverage service while ensuring every guest enjoys a memorable dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare banquet and function rooms prior to events, including table settings, linens, glassware, cutlery, and service stations.
Welcome guests in a courteous and professional manner while providing outstanding customer service.
Serve food and beverages efficiently and in accordance with established service standards.
Assist with buffet setup, replenishment, and breakdown where required.
Ensure food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards are maintained at all times.
Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and inquiries.
Work collaboratively with the kitchen, banquet, and event teams to ensure seamless event execution.
Clear tables, remove used service ware, and maintain cleanliness throughout the event.
Assist with the breakdown, cleaning, and resetting of function rooms following each event.
Handle banquet equipment and service items with care and report any damages or maintenance concerns.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum of 1–2 years' experience in food and beverage service, banquet service, hotel hospitality, or a similar customer-facing role.
Previous experience working in hotels, restaurants, banquet facilities, or event venues is highly desirable.
Valid Food Handler's Permit, or willingness to obtain one before employment.
Sound knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and customer service standards.
