Governance Compliance & Legal Manager - Oil & Gas/Industrial

Job Overview

We provide integrated LPG filling and storage solutions, along with advanced consulting and engineering services. We are seeking a highly skilled Governance, Compliance & Legal Manager to lead the company’s regulatory, compliance, and legal functions within the oil & gas and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure adherence to local, regional, and international regulations.
Monitor changes in legislation (e.g., Saudi Arabian, GCC, and international oil & gas regulations) and assess impact on business operations.
Lead internal audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews; prepare reports for senior management and the Board.
Provide legal counsel on contracts, joint ventures, licensing agreements, and other commercial documents.
Manage relationships with regulatory authorities, industry bodies, and external legal advisors.
Oversee the preparation and submission of statutory filings, permits, and compliance documentation.
Conduct training programs and workshops to promote a culture of compliance across all business units.
Support investigations and resolution of compliance breaches, including handling of disciplinary actions.
Collaborate with the Finance, Operations, and Engineering teams to embed compliance requirements into project lifecycles.
Prepare and present periodic compliance and governance reports to senior leadership and the Board of Directors.

Essential Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field (LL.B, LL.M, or MBA preferred).
Professional certification in compliance or governance (e.g., Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional, ISO 37301).
Strong knowledge of Saudi Arabian commercial law, labour law, and regulatory frameworks governing the oil & gas sector.
Fluent in English (both written and spoken); proficiency in Arabic is highly desirable.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Proven ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.

Desired Experience

Minimum 7–10 years of experience in governance, compliance, or legal roles within the oil & gas, petrochemical, or related industrial sectors.
Demonstrated experience handling complex regulatory environments and leading compliance programs.
Prior experience coordinating with government agencies and industry regulators in the GCC region.
Track record of drafting, reviewing, and negotiating high‑value commercial agreements.
Experience managing internal audit processes and liaising with external auditors.
