Job Responsibilities

Lead and support automation and control commissioning activities for new oil and gas facilities and renewable-energy plants.
Ensure commissioning work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and according to project specifications, company standards, and HSE requirements.
Supervise contractors, vendors, and commissioning personnel during testing and start-up activities.
Review technical documents, including drawings, P&IDs, specifications, procedures, engineering documents, and technical reports.
Organize and oversee commissioning tests, including:
- Instrument loop testing
- ICSS and UCP functional testing
- DCS, ESD, and Fire & Gas system testing
- Serial-link communication testing
- Software interlock testing
- Telecom system testing, including CCTV, IDS cameras, radio, telephone, and control cabinets
Troubleshoot automation and control issues using a logical and systematic approach.
Provide technical guidance to resolve punch-list items.
Verify the accuracy and quality of commissioning check sheets and operational test results.
Coordinate with construction, engineering, operations, production, and other commissioning disciplines.
Support system acceptance, plant start-up, and final handover to Operations.

Job Requirements

Engineering or technical degree preferred; a technical diploma may also be considered.
More than 10 years of oil and gas industry experience within an engineering discipline.
At least 7 years of commissioning experience.
Strong knowledge of:
- Commissioning planning, monitoring, testing, and execution
- Automation, instrumentation, and control systems
- Construction planning and monitoring
- Plant start-up, system acceptance, and handover
- Project engineering and change management
- HSE principles and systems
- Production and logistics
Fluent written and spoken English; knowledge of the local language may be required.
BOSIET certification and offshore safety training may be required.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
Results-oriented, flexible, proactive, resilient, and able to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
