Our client is a well-established commercial flooring company based in California with over 30 years of industry experience. They specialize in large-scale commercial flooring installations for builders and general contractors across California and are expanding their remote operations team.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Estimating / Takeoff Administrative Specialist to support their estimating team. This role is responsible for converting commercial flooring takeoffs into accurate system entries, managing project documentation, and supporting day-to-day estimating and administrative operations.

Experience with construction estimating software and commercial construction workflows is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Estimating & Takeoff Support

Enter flooring quantities, material specifications, labor, and project data into Job Runner.
Review and process RFMS takeoffs and bills of materials.
Verify measurements, material quantities, and project specifications against plans and scope documents.
Maintain accurate estimating records and project data.

Administrative Support

Manage project-related emails and communication with contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
Organize digital project files, quotes, revisions, and change orders.
Follow up with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, and lead times.
Support the estimating and operations teams with general administrative tasks.

Requirements

2–4+ years of experience in construction administration, estimating support, or trade-specific data entry.
Experience in commercial flooring, construction, tile, drywall, or general contracting is preferred.
Experience with RFMS, Job Runner, PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Measure Square, or similar estimating software.
Excellent written and verbal English; Spanish is a strong advantage.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy with measurements, quantities, and data entry.
Reliable home office with high-speed internet and backup power.
