Governed by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka under the Finance Business Act, the institution maintains a comprehensive portfolio of financial products while upholding strict governance, legal frameworks, and regulatory compliance standards.

About the Role

The Senior Manager / Manager – Compliance will be responsible for overseeing the organization's overall compliance framework, ensuring alignment with national legal requirements, regulatory directions, and internal policies. Reporting to executive leadership, the role involves maintaining robust control systems, reviewing policies, and updating management on compliance operations.

Responsibilities

Ensure strict compliance with all legal requirements and regulatory directions issued by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (DSNBFI) and other governing bodies.
Develop, maintain, and oversee control systems to prevent and manage violations of legal guidelines and internal policies.
Continuously evaluate the efficiency of internal controls and implement operational improvements.
Regularly revise and update compliance policies, procedures, and reporting mechanisms.
Prepare and submit regular compliance reports to senior management to track compliance operations.
Utilize the goAML system and prepare FinNet regulatory reports as required.

Requirements

Over 10 years of overall experience in Banking or Finance, with at least 5 years in a managerial capacity within Compliance, Finance, or Audit in a reputed bank or financial institution.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Banking, Finance, or LLB.
Professional qualification in Accounting, Finance, Banking, or Marketing from a recognized institution.
In-depth knowledge of legal/regulatory compliance, the goAML system, FinNet reporting, and directions/circulars issued by the DSNBFI.
Thorough understanding of financial industry practices and financial products.
Strong strategic thinking, forecasting, analytical, and executive communication skills.
