Objective & Role Overview

The Recruiter is responsible for driving the full talent acquisition lifecycle—recruiting, screening, interviewing, clearing, and onboarding top-tier CAREGivers for our home care operations.

In this role, you will be the primary driver behind our caregiver talent pipeline, ensuring we recruit, train, and retain a staff of compassionate, high-quality caregivers who deliver exceptional care to elderly clients. You will manage high-volume candidate outreach, conduct competency-based interviews via phone/video, clear background checks, and maintain engaging pre-orientation communication.

High-Payoff Activities (Core Focus Areas)

Pipeline Ownership: Take full ownership of clearing the applicant tracking system (ATS) candidate pipeline daily by 3:00 PM EST.
Candidate Outreach Speed: Contact all new applicants within hours of submission to schedule interviews within 1–2 business days.
Volume Interviewing: Conduct an average of 7+ thorough candidate interviews weekly using structured, competency-based questions.
Orientation Yield: Coordinate and confirm attendance to ensure a minimum of 9–10 cleared new hires attend each scheduled Orientation batch.
Candidate Processing Speed: Ensure all applicant files, background checks, and reference checks are completed within 10 business days.
Culture & Engagement: Create a warm, hospitable, and welcoming virtual environment for all applicants and new hires.

Key Responsibilities & Performance Metrics

1. Applicant Triage & Interviewing

Answer all employment inquiries in a friendly, professional, and knowledgeable manner.
Follow strict outreach cadences: Applicants submitting inquiries before 3:00 PM must be called by 4:30 PM the same day; inquiries after 3:00 PM must be contacted by 12:00 PM the next business day.
Schedule qualified candidates for interviews within the same day or maximum 2 business days out.
Conduct structured, competency-based virtual interviews to evaluate candidate empathy, reliability, and caregiving aptitude.
Maintain complete candidate records, interview notes, and status updates within the ATS within 24 hours.

2. Background Vetting, Compliance & Pre-Orientation

Initiate and review comprehensive criminal background checks, motor vehicle records, and drug screen results according to healthcare regulatory standards.
Conduct thorough character and professional reference checks for all prospective hires.
Issue appropriate adverse action and FCRA compliance communications when applicants do not meet hiring criteria.
Ensure all compliance documentation (Checklists, Assignment Scenarios, Applicant Requirements) is accurate and complete.
Maintain ongoing engagement with cleared candidates, confirming orientation attendance by Wednesday of the week prior to orientation.
Provide scheduled attendee lists and availability profiles to the Scheduling/Staffing Department.

3. New Hire Onboarding & Ongoing Engagement

Build trust during orientation and first-week engagement with new CAREGivers.
Enter accurate, complete CAREGiver profile records into the operating system on Day 1 of Orientation.
Promptly respond to CAREGiver inquiries and requests within 3 business hours.
Maintain a re-engagement list of former CAREGivers who left on good terms, reaching out semi-annually regarding potential return opportunities.
Research new digital job boards, community referral sources, and virtual job fairs to expand candidate sourcing.

4. General Administrative & Client Care Support

Answer incoming calls in a warm, professional, and knowledgeable manner, routing calls to appropriate team members.
Field new client inquiries when needed, log detailed notes in the CRM, and coordinate scheduling with Care Consultants.
Follow the firm outreach protocol: "VET" (Voicemail, Email, Text) whenever reaching out to candidates, caregivers, or clients.
Participate in weekly accountability, HR, and team alignment meetings.

Qualifications & Requirements

Required

Experience: 2+ years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, HR coordination, or high-volume candidate screening (experience in home care, senior care, healthcare, or service industries is strongly preferred).
Communication & Phone Presence: Exceptional written and spoken English skills with a warm, articulate, and professional phone/video presence.
Tech Literacy: Strong proficiency with ATS platforms (e.g., ApplicantStack, JazzHR, Indeed), CRMs, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Remote Setup: Dedicated, quiet home office, high-speed fiber internet, noise-canceling headset, and reliable power backup (UPS/Inverter required).

Preferred

Prior experience recruiting for U.S.-based home care, healthcare, or senior living organizations.
Familiarity with U.S. background check procedures, FCRA guidelines, and healthcare onboarding compliance.
