Compensation: $1,200–$1,400 USD/month + commission incentives

About the Role

We are looking for a driven and highly motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to join a fast-growing company serving the insurance, legal, and investigations sectors across North America.

This role is focused primarily on outbound prospecting and appointment setting. The SDR will conduct high-volume cold outreach to generate qualified meetings for senior sales team members. Success in this role comes from consistency, confidence on the phone, resilience, and strong follow-up skills.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct high-volume outbound cold calling to prospective clients
Generate qualified meetings for senior sales representatives
Follow up with prospects through email and LinkedIn outreach
Build relationships with decision-makers across insurance, legal, and investigations industries
Maintain accurate prospect and outreach tracking within HubSpot or CRM systems
Manage follow-up conversations from initial outreach through booked meetings
Support outreach tied to conferences, events, and marketing campaigns
Meet daily, weekly, and monthly outreach KPIs

Day-to-Day Focus

Approximately 90% outbound cold calling
Approximately 10% email follow-up, inbox management, and LinkedIn outreach

Comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls daily
Positive, competitive, and resilient personality
Coachable and eager to improve
Organized with strong follow-up discipline
Able to work independently in a remote environment
Based in Cape Town, South Africa

Preferred Experience

SDR / BDR experience
Appointment setting
Call center or telesales experience

Compensation

Base Salary: $1,200–$1,400 USD/month
