Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon - Knee Arthroplasty & Spine Surgery - Saudi Arabia

Green Barns Health is seeking highly accomplished Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons for specialist medical opportunities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

We are seeking Consultants with established specialist practice in one of the following areas:

Knee Arthroplasty
Spine Surgery

These appointments are intended for distinguished specialists currently practising within leading international medical institutions, with strong clinical standing in their respective subspecialty.

The Opportunity

Consultant-level specialist Orthopaedic Surgery appointments
Approximate total monthly package: SAR 100,000-120,000
Tax-free salary in Saudi Arabia
Initial one-year renewable contract
Renewable for up to a maximum of 10 years, subject to applicable terms and conditions
48 working hours per week
Paid annual leave of 22 working days or 30 calendar days, as applicable
Additional contractual benefits will be confirmed as part of the final employment package

Qualifications & Experience

Candidates must hold a recognised postgraduate medical qualification or board certification equivalent to the Saudi Board.

Recognised qualification routes may include:

American Board certification
UK or Ireland recognised specialist qualifications, including relevant Royal College qualifications with CCT
Other recognised equivalent board certifications

Please note: European Board certificates alone are not accepted for eligibility purposes.

The minimum post-specialty experience requirement is typically 3-5 years for candidates holding recognised board or specialist qualifications from the UK, Ireland, USA, Germany, Australia or Canada.

For candidates holding other recognised European specialist qualifications, the minimum post-specialty experience requirement is typically 5-7 years.

Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking highly distinguished Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons currently practising within leading international medical institutions, with established specialist expertise in Knee Arthroplasty or Spine Surgery.

Candidates should demonstrate recent high-level specialist clinical practice, appropriate professional registration, a strong specialist career history and established standing within their field, together with genuine interest in exploring a senior opportunity in Saudi Arabia.

Working Hours & On-Call

The working requirement is 48 hours per week.

On-call duties will be determined according to the operational requirements of the hospital. On-call frequency will not normally exceed one in every three days.

Locations

Opportunities will primarily be available across Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Al-Qassim, Hail, Tabuk, Abha and Jazan.

These locations offer strong infrastructure and access to international airports, international schools, shopping and family amenities.
