We’re looking for a hands-on Commercial HVAC / Building Engineer who knows their way around HVAC/R and can also jump into electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and general building maintenance. You’ll support multiple commercial facilities and keep the equipment, systems, and buildings running safely and reliably.

This is a multi-skilled facilities position where every day can be different. You’ll troubleshoot problems, knock out work orders, perform preventative maintenance, make repairs, inspect equipment, and help prevent small issues from becoming expensive problems.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and operate commercial HVAC/R systems
Perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs on facility equipment
Work on HVAC, refrigeration, electrical distribution, plumbing, mechanical systems, and production equipment
Diagnose equipment problems and determine the best repair solution
Perform inspections throughout assigned facilities and identify potential issues
Handle interior and exterior building repairs including lighting, flooring, walls, fixtures, roofing, and other building components
Maintain and repair commercial refrigeration systems
Respond to facility work orders and complete repairs efficiently
Keep work orders updated in real time using a CMMS/work order system such as Corrigo
Maintain accurate records of completed work and equipment conditions
Work with vendors and contractors when specialized repairs or services are required
Submit required P-card receipts daily
Follow all safety procedures and maintain equipment in a safe, reliable, and energy-efficient condition
Be available for occasional call-in/emergency work as needed

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

4+ years of hands-on commercial building engineering or facilities maintenance experience

Strong commercial HVAC/R experience

Commercial refrigeration troubleshooting and maintenance experience

Working knowledge of electrical systems

Working knowledge of plumbing and piping systems

General mechanical and building maintenance experience

Ability to troubleshoot problems and work independently

Strong understanding of facility equipment and building systems

Experience with CMMS/work order systems preferred

Basic computer skills, including Word and Excel

Valid state driver’s license

High school diploma or GED

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION

Universal CFC/EPA certification required, or must be obtained within 90 days of employment.

NICE TO HAVE

Two years of trade school or a documented apprenticeship in HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, or related trades

Experience with commercial or supermarket refrigeration

Experience with Corrigo or another CMMS/work order management system
