About the Role
We're helping a fast-growing cybersecurity startup focused on securing AI systems hire a senior DevOps engineer who owns infrastructure end-to-end. This is a high-autonomy, high-impact role for someone who lives in production, thinks in systems, and builds infrastructure that scales securely.

You'll work closely with the global core engineering team. You'll own DevOps workflows, harden and scale cloud infrastructure, debug live production issues, and set the standard for how the company builds and ships. Because this is a security-for-AI company, you'll also help shape how AI systems and AI-enabled workflows are run safely in production.

Responsibilities

Own DevOps and cloud infrastructure end to end: CI/CD, AWS, EKS, IaC, monitoring and logging.
Author and maintain infrastructure as code (Terraform, Helm) and drive GitOps practices.
Build for security from the ground up: DevSecOps practices, cloud-native security, secure-by-default architecture.
Triage and resolve live production issues.
Use AI coding tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar) as a core part of how you work, not an afterthought.
Collaborate with a fast-paced, globally distributed team in a startup environment.
Provision and maintain development and test environments, and stand up integration tooling so R&D can test against real infrastructure.
Own deployment and installation of the product into customer environments, including private cloud and on-premise.

Requirements

7+ years in technology, with senior/lead-level DevOps or SRE ownership.
Deep hands-on AWS (EKS, Terraform, Helm, CI/CD, IaC, GitOps), plus experience deploying into private cloud or on-premise / customer-controlled environments.
Demonstrated focus on cloud and infrastructure security (DevSecOps, secure architecture, hardening).
Fluent working with AI coding tools day to day, with concrete examples of what that changed in your delivery.
Strong systems thinking and full ownership: you can take an ambiguous production problem and drive it to resolution.

Nice to Have

Security certifications (CISSP, AWS Security Specialty) or AWS architecture certifications.
Working knowledge of AI systems: LLM APIs, prompting, ML Ops, or securing AI/ML workloads in production.
Software engineering background (Python core; comfortable in a Typescript/Node or NestJS codebase) for backend and tooling contributions.
Experience in startups or small, high-ownership engineering teams.

Why Join?

Join a cybersecurity startup operating at the intersection of AI and cloud.
Play a foundational role in shaping early-stage architecture, reliability, and security.
Real ownership and real impact in a high-autonomy environment.
