We’re partnering with a rapidly growing, highly respected plumbing and MEP services organization in Houston to identify an experienced, licensed plumbing professional for a unique field-based opportunity combining technical plumbing expertise, estimating, customer relationships, and business development.

This is not a traditional sales position or cold-calling role. The company already generates a high volume of inbound opportunities. They need someone who understands plumbing well enough to walk into a customer environment, assess what is needed, develop an accurate estimate, communicate the solution confidently, and convert qualified opportunities into work.

You’ll spend the majority of your time in the field meeting with customers throughout the Greater Houston area rather than physically performing plumbing work every day. However, you need the technical knowledge and hands-on experience to understand the work, accurately scope projects, earn credibility with customers, and jump in when needed.

What You’ll Do

Respond to a strong pipeline of inbound residential and commercial plumbing opportunities
Travel throughout the Greater Houston area to meet with prospective and existing customers
Assess customer needs and evaluate plumbing service, repair, replacement, and project requirements
Develop scopes of work and accurate customer estimates
Explain recommendations, options, pricing, and next steps in a clear and professional way
Convert qualified inbound leads into booked work
Build trust and long-term relationships with residential and commercial customers
Coordinate closely with service, operations, dispatch, and field teams once work is awarded
Maintain communication with customers throughout the process
Follow up after completion to ensure the work was performed successfully and the customer had an excellent experience
Identify additional opportunities to support existing customers when appropriate
Help ensure a smooth handoff from initial inquiry through estimate, scheduling, execution, and completion
Remain technically capable and willing to assist in the field when needed

What We’re Looking For

Current Texas plumbing license
5+ years of hands-on plumbing experience preferred
Strong technical understanding of plumbing systems, service, repair, installation, and construction
Residential and commercial plumbing experience strongly preferred
Ability to accurately assess a plumbing need and translate it into a clear scope and estimate
Comfortable discussing pricing and asking for the business once a solution has been identified
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly establish credibility with customers
Professional, personable, responsive, and highly customer-service oriented
Ability to manage multiple customer opportunities and follow-ups without letting details fall through the cracks
Self-directed and comfortable spending the majority of the day on the road
Clean driving record and ability to safely operate a company vehicle
Strong sense of ownership, you care about the customer experience beyond simply getting the job sold

You do not need to be a traditional salesperson. In fact, someone who has spent years in the field as a plumber and naturally enjoys customers, explaining solutions, building relationships, and winning work could be an exceptional fit.
