Supporting remuneration and benefits activities, payroll-related queries and other employment matters as required
Assisting with learning and development, employee engagement and organisational development initiatives
Supporting workers' compensation and return-to-work processes where required
Contributing to HR projects, process improvements and the consistent application of HR policies and procedures
Building effective relationships with employees, managers and key stakeholders across the business

About You

We're looking for someone who is practical, approachable and confident communicating with people at different levels of an organisation. You'll have a solid understanding of Australian employment legislation and be comfortable supporting day-to-day HR matters while continuing to develop your broader HR capabilities.

You'll ideally bring:

Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or a related discipline
Experience in an HR Officer, HR Advisor, HR Generalist or similar role
Sound knowledge of the Fair Work Act, NES and Australian employment legislation
Experience supporting employee relations, performance management and general HR activities
Strong communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills
Good judgement, problem-solving ability and attention to detail
The ability to manage competing priorities and handle confidential employee matters appropriately
A willingness to learn, take initiative and contribute across different areas of HR

Experience within mining, resources or another operational environment would be advantageous, although candidates from broader industries with relevant generalist HR experience will also be considered.
