About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, analytical, and leadership-driven Assistant Manager – Financial Services (Accounts Payable) to oversee end-to-end finance operations and high-volume AP processing. Reporting to Senior Finance Leadership, this role will manage an operational team of 10 to 15 members, driving KPI achievements, process efficiencies, client query resolutions, and strict compliance with Sri Lankan tax and Inland Revenue Department (IRD) regulations.

Responsibilities

AP Operations & Financial Leadership: Lead and oversee daily Accounts Payable and finance operations, managing high-volume invoice processing, vendor payments, and end-to-end AP workflows.
People Management & Team Leadership: Directly lead, coach, and develop a team of 10 to 15 operational team members to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs), operational targets, and high service quality.
Taxation & Statutory Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to accounting standards, local tax frameworks, and the latest Sri Lankan Inland Revenue Department (IRD) statutory guidelines.
Stakeholder & Client Relations: Build and maintain strong partnerships with clients and internal stakeholders; manage complex queries, escalations, and ensure prompt resolution.
Process Improvement: Continuously review, refine, and optimize operational workflows to eliminate bottlenecks and drive process efficiencies.

Requirements

Education & Qualifications: Full qualification in CA, ACCA, or CIMA. Holding or actively pursuing a Master’s degree is preferred.
Experience: Minimum 6+ years of progressive experience in Accounting & Finance, with strong hands-on exposure to high-volume Accounts Payable and invoice processing.
Systems Expertise: Mandatory, hands-on working experience with SAP enterprise systems.
People Leadership: Proven track record in people management, with demonstrated experience leading and mentoring teams of 5 to 15 members.
Taxation Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of current Sri Lankan taxation, IRD regulations, and statutory compliance frameworks.
Competencies: Outstanding client management capabilities, analytical mindset, and strong communication skills.
