Sr. Automation Engineer

Our client is a venture-backed manufacturing startup building advanced automated production facilities in the U.S. They are seeking a Sr. Automation Engineer to design, build, and implement automation systems for advanced yarn spinning operations, including ring, rotor, and vortex spinning. This hands-on role develops solutions across robotic piecing, auto-doffing, material handling, machine integration, and automated inspection. You'll program and integrate PLCs, robotics, sensors, SCADA/HMI, and control systems and support equipment commissioning and troubleshooting. Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; 5+ years of industrial automation experience; strong PLC programming and troubleshooting. Yarn spinning, textile machinery automation, and experience with Rieter, Saurer, Murata, or similar systems preferred. Austin, TX | 100% onsite | Relocation assistance provided | Up to 20% travel
