Sales Development Representative — Residential

Location & Employment: Fully remote. Full-time. Monday–Friday with strong U.S. Eastern Time overlap (residential homeowners are most reachable mid-morning through early evening ET).

About the Company

We are a rapidly growing, U.S.-based, veteran-owned design-build landscape and outdoor-living company serving residential and commercial clients across Northeast and Central Florida. We design and install custom landscapes, hardscapes, outdoor living spaces, and exterior lighting — the kind of high-value curb appeal and backyard transformations homeowners are proud of. Our work has been featured on national home-improvement television, and we hold a strong regional reputation backed by hundreds of five-star reviews. We are actively expanding into a second major market and building out the team to support that growth.

About the Role

Residential demand comes in steadily through our website, Facebook and Instagram ads, and referrals — but today a single in-person salesperson carries the entire residential pipeline. Inbound leads aren't always contacted fast enough, there's no dedicated outbound effort, and opportunities slip before anyone follows up. As we expand into a new market, that gap only widens.

This role exists to own the top of the residential funnel: respond to every new lead fast, qualify it, and book design consultations for our field sales team — so our closers spend their time closing, not chasing. In home services, speed to lead is the single biggest driver of won revenue, and this seat owns it.

Key Responsibilities

Inbound Lead Response & Speed-to-Lead

Contact every inbound lead (web form, Facebook/Instagram, phone, referral) within minutes, not hours
Qualify homeowners for project scope, budget range, timeline, and property location
Book on-site design consultations for the field sales team and confirm appointments to reduce no-shows

Outbound Prospecting & Pipeline Generation

Revive aged and unconverted leads and past-quote lists
Run targeted outbound (call, text, email) into growth areas — new-market neighborhoods, HOAs, and builder/GC contacts
Follow up persistently on estimates that haven't closed

Qualification & Handoff

Gather project details, photos, and homeowner priorities before the consult so the closer walks in prepared
Communicate financing availability to keep price-sensitive leads engaged
Deliver clean, complete handoff notes to the field sales rep

CRM & Pipeline Hygiene

Log every touch, disposition, and next step in the CRM
Keep pipeline stages current and surface daily/weekly follow-up lists
Report on lead source, response time, set rate, and conversion

Required Qualifications

2+ years in inside sales, appointment setting, SDR/BDR, or high-volume phone-based customer contact
Excellent spoken and written English with a clear, neutral accent (this is a U.S. homeowner-facing phone role)
A track record of fast, persistent inbound lead follow-up
Comfortable in a CRM and disciplined about data entry
Full-time availability with U.S. Eastern Time overlap

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in home services, home improvement, construction, real estate, or another in-home/consultative sales environment
Familiarity with lead sources like Facebook/Instagram lead ads, Google LSA, Angi, or Thumbtack
Experience booking consultations for a field/outside sales team
Comfort presenting consumer financing offers

Ideal Candidate Profile

You are fast, friendly, and hard to discourage. You treat a new lead like it's on fire, and you don't let "not right now" become "never." You're organized enough to keep dozens of follow-ups straight, personable enough that homeowners want to talk to you, and coachable enough to sharpen your pitch as we dial in our residential playbook. You measure yourself by consults booked and revenue influenced — not calls made.

Why Join Us

You'll build the residential outbound function from the ground up at a well-reviewed, nationally recognized brand in an active growth phase — with real ownership over how the pipeline gets built, not a script handed to you.
