Location: Remote (LATAM and South Africa)
Contract: Independent Contractor
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, CST

Position Overview

The Growth Account Manager (GAM) is a proactive inside-sales professional responsible for growing, retaining, and recovering a portfolio of industrial B2B customers across the United States.

In this role, you will build relationships, uncover technical and commercial needs, and convert opportunities into revenue growth. This is a proactive, revenue-generating growth role—not a passive customer service or order-taking position.

Key Responsibilities

1. Account Portfolio Growth & Expansion

Grow Portfolio Revenue: Set priorities and execute targeted commercial strategies for customer retention, account recovery, cross-selling, and expansion.
Proactive Engagement: Build long-term commercial relationships through phone calls, personalized email cadences, and video meetings rather than waiting for incoming orders.
Account Recovery & Prospecting: Identify new contact persons within selected accounts and proactively reactivate declining or dormant customer accounts.

2. Pipeline & Data-Driven Sales Management

Pipeline Execution: Maintain strict deal tracking across all accounts, including clear next steps, assigned owners, due dates, quote follow-ups, and reliable revenue forecasts.
Data-Driven Selling: Analyze purchasing history, product mix, account purchasing trends, and lost-sales data to focus daily outreach on the highest-yield opportunities.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate closely with Field Sales, VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) Technicians, Sales Support, and Operations teams while remaining fully accountable for portfolio revenue growth.

Candidate Profile & Qualifications

Required

English Fluency: Native or near-native professional English fluency with high confidence conducting outbound phone calls, video meetings, SMS, and professional email correspondence with U.S. industrial clients.
B2B Sales Experience: Proven track record in B2B inside sales, account management, business development, or customer growth—preferably within industrial distribution, MRO, manufacturing, construction, fasteners, tools, safety, or welding.
Proactive Sales Mindset: Strong prospecting, relationship-building, and negotiation skills, paired with commercial curiosity, resilience, and consistent follow-through.
CRM & Process Discipline: High comfort working against sales targets, maintaining strict CRM pipeline hygiene, tracking KPIs, and delivering accurate forecasts in a fully remote setup.
Schedule Alignment: Full availability to work U.S. Central Time (CT) business hours in a dedicated home office setup.

How Success Is Measured

Portfolio Revenue Growth: Expansion of existing account spend and successful recovery of dormant/declining accounts.
Pipeline Execution: Accuracy in sales forecasting, quote conversion rates, and diligent CRM hygiene.
Proactive Engagement: High volume of meaningful customer interactions across phone, video, and email.

Compensation & Development

Base Compensation: Competitive base salary in USD.
Incentive Structure: Performance-based commission/bonus potential tied to portfolio growth targets.
Professional Growth: Structured onboarding, regular executive coaching, and long-term career growth opportunities.
