Role Overview

We are seeking a Strategic Account Manager to serve as the primary strategic partner and key operational point of contact for client accounts.

In this role, you will take ownership of client retention, strategy alignment, campaign execution oversight, and cross-functional project management. You will act as the bridge between client stakeholders and internal specialists—including media buyers, copywriters, designers, and SEO teams—ensuring that marketing strategies translate into high-performing deliverables executed on time and on budget. You will leverage AI tools to streamline communication, analyze campaign performance, and generate strategic account plans while keeping all moving parts meticulously organized.

The ideal candidate is a proactive, business-minded client partner with a deep understanding of digital marketing funnels, project management systems, and client satisfaction drivers in an agency setting.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management & Growth

Serve as the main point of contact for key client accounts, building strong, trusted, and long-term relationships.
Onboard new clients smoothly, establishing clear expectations, communication cadences, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Lead regular client status meetings, strategy sessions, and performance reviews to communicate campaign progress and business impact.
Understand client business goals, industry landscapes, and pain points to proactively recommend growth opportunities and campaign expansions.
Address client concerns promptly, manage scope changes gracefully, and navigate difficult conversations with poise and clarity.

Campaign Oversight & Strategic Alignment

Translate high-level client objectives into actionable campaign roadmaps, creative briefs, and project scopes for execution teams.
Monitor overall account performance and collaborate with paid media, content, SEO, and design teams to ensure performance metrics are hit.
Review all client deliverables for strategic alignment, high quality, and brand consistency prior to client presentation.
Guide client retention strategies, identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities to drive account expansion.

AI-Enhanced Strategy & Operations

Utilize AI tools (such as ChatGPT and Claude) to draft client communications, synthesize meeting notes, generate account summaries, and organize strategic recommendations.
Leverage AI platforms to conduct client industry research, brainstorm campaign concepts, and quickly analyze client performance data.
Refine AI-generated outputs to ensure polished, professional, and accurate client communications.
Continuously improve internal documentation and client-facing workflows using AI-assisted productivity routines.

Project Management & CRM Integration

Manage project timelines, team tasks, scope tracking, and deliverables within ClickUp to ensure zero missed deadlines.
Track client lead activity, automated workflows, email campaigns, and CRM health inside Go High Level.
Ensure clear communication and alignment between clients and internal creative/media teams.
Maintain complete, accurate, and up-to-date account records, contact lists, and strategic notes across agency platforms.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of professional experience as a Strategic Account Manager, Senior Account Executive, Client Success Manager, or similar agency role managing digital marketing clients.
Proven track record of managing multi-channel digital marketing campaigns, retaining high-value clients, and growing account revenue.
Practical experience using ChatGPT and Claude (or similar AI platforms) to streamline client communication, research, and project workflows.
Hands-on experience using ClickUp for project management, task delegation, and timeline tracking.
Experience working within Go High Level (CRM) to track leads, monitor funnels, and verify customer communication automation.
Deep understanding of direct-response marketing, digital sales funnels, paid media (search/social), and conversion rate optimization principles.
Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills with strong presentation and interpersonal abilities.
Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple client accounts and internal teams simultaneously.
Reliable internet connection and a dedicated remote workspace.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in a fast-paced digital marketing agency environment managing high-touch client accounts.
Familiarity with analytics platforms such as Google Analytics (GA4) to discuss campaign metrics confidently with clients.
Track record of driving account expansions, upsells, and high client retention rates.
Experience managing cross-functional creative, media buying, and technical teams.
