About Client Partner

Our client is a premier multi-storey shopping, dining, and lifestyle destination situated in the heart of Colombo. Featuring world-class international and local retail brands, extensive entertainment hubs, and gourmet dining experiences, the complex serves as a flagship urban lifestyle center, delivering vibrant, high-energy experiences to thousands of visitors daily.

About the Role

We are seeking an outgoing, trend-savvy, and on-camera confident Social Media Executive to serve as the face and voice of the mall across all digital platforms. This role combines content creation, influencer-style hosting, on-the-go video editing, and community engagement. The successful candidate will independently conceptualize, film, and edit engaging Reels, TikToks, and short-form video content—participating in trending challenges, showcasing tenant offers, covering real-time events, and driving footfall to the mall.

Responsibilities

On-Camera Brand Representation: Act as the primary on-screen host and face of the mall, comfortable filming in public spaces, interviewing shoppers, engaging tenants, and presenting brand campaigns.
Short-Form Content Creation: Conceptualize, film, and edit daily Reels, TikToks, and YouTube Shorts featuring fast cuts, trending audio, creative transitions, and engaging storytelling.
Live Event & Trend Coverage: Capture real-time video and photo coverage during mall activations, festive promotions, weekend events, and tenant store launches with quick turnarounds.
Platform & Campaign Management: Maintain and update social channels (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube Shorts), optimize posting schedules, run boosted campaigns, and write clean, persuasive captions.
Tenant & Community Collaboration: Partner with mall tenants, retail brands, and food court outlets to co-create cross-promotional content; actively manage comments, direct messages, and customer inquiries with tact.
Performance Tracking: Monitor key social metrics (reach, engagement, video views) using Meta Business Suite and native analytics dashboards to continuously refine content strategy.

Requirements

Experience: 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in social media management, digital marketing, or content creation, ideally within retail, hospitality, lifestyle, or entertainment sectors.
On-Camera & Aesthetic Presence: Excellent presentable appearance, strong camera presence, and fluent, articulate command of English.
Content Editing Skills: High proficiency in mobile video/photo editing applications (e.g., CapCut, Canva, InShot) or Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, Photoshop).
Technical Mastery: Advanced smartphone videography and photography skills, along with practical knowledge of Meta Business Suite, trend tracking, and audience engagement tools.
Availability & Work Ethic: Willingness to work on weekends (Saturdays are mandatory) and public holidays to cover peak mall activations, events, and real-time updates.
