Position Overview

We are seeking a strategic, creative, and technically skilled Email Marketing Manager based in Colombia to join our team in a 100% remote contractor capacity.

In this role, you will own one of our core growth channels—developing, executing, and continuously optimizing email marketing strategies to reach and engage our target audiences, drive student enrollment, enhance retention, and support long-term revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Campaign Strategy & End-to-End Execution

Lifecycle Ownership: Develop, execute, and optimize conversion and lifecycle email marketing strategies for prospective leads and active students, aligning with strategic business goals set by the Head of Marketing.
End-to-End Delivery: Manage full campaign lifecycles from initial planning and audience targeting to deployment, monitoring, and post-campaign analysis.
Automated Flow Optimization: Design, build, and refine automated lifecycle flows to ensure optimal journey length, precise messaging, proper send frequency, and ideal timing.

2. Audience Segmentation & CRM Management

List Hygiene & Targeting: Segment and manage email databases, ensuring accurate targeting and personalized messaging based on demographics, user behaviors, and lifecycle stages.
Compliance & Deliverability: Maintain list hygiene and strictly adhere to global email compliance standards (CAN-SPAM, GDPR) while optimizing deliverability, open rates, and domain reputation.

3. Creative Collaboration, Messaging & Design Direction

Content & Copywriting: Partner with the creative team to develop compelling, high-converting email copy, visual layouts, and persuasive calls-to-action (CTAs).
Design & Templates: Provide design direction to produce responsive, visually appealing email templates that render seamlessly across all devices and browsers (utilizing HTML/CSS customization where needed).
Personalization: Implement dynamic content and personalization strategies to deliver tailored experiences across different audience segments.

4. Experimentation, Analytics & Reporting

A/B Testing Framework: Establish hypothesis-driven A/B testing protocols (testing subject lines, copy, layout, CTAs, and send times) to continuously improve engagement metrics.
Performance Reporting: Monitor and analyze core KPIs—including deliverability, open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, and ROI—presenting actionable insights and recommendations to leadership.

Qualifications & Requirements

Required

Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (OR 7+ years of hands-on marketing experience), including 5+ years of dedicated Email Marketing experience managing lifecycle, lead conversion, and retention campaigns.
ESP & CRM Mastery: Deep proficiency with Enterprise Email Service Providers (ESPs)—Klaviyo experience is strongly preferred—along with hands-on experience setting up complex workflows, triggers, and segmentation inside modern CRM platforms.
Language Proficiency: C1-C2 CEFR Level written and verbal English fluency with exceptional copy editing skills and acute attention to detail.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with basic HTML/CSS for email template customization, deliverability best practices, and data analysis.
Industry & Remote Fit: Proven success working independently in a fast-paced, remote, deadline-driven environment.

Preferred

Experience in the online education industry, e-learning, or high-consideration consumer products.
Hands-on experience with AI-driven predictive personalization tools within email platforms.
Relevant professional certifications in Email Marketing, Klaviyo, or CRM administration.
