Priority Locations: Latin America (LATAM) or South Africa

Working Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Pacific Time (Monday – Friday)

Compensation: $2,000 – $3,500 USD / month (commensurate with experience)

Contract Type: Independent Contractor | 100% Remote

Role Overview

Are you a proactive problem solver with relentless follow-through and a "get-it-done" mindset? We are seeking a sharp, adaptable Operations Manager to serve as the founder's right hand and drive day-to-day execution across our growing US land development and investment business.

In this role, you will take ownership of daily operations across our Acquisitions, Dispositions, and Transaction Management functions. You will remove operational bottlenecks, enforce team accountability, keep projects moving on schedule, and help recruit additional team talent as we scale.

We don't need a developer or data scientist—we need an ambitious, highly organized "doer" with a strong bias for action, zero tolerance for missed deadlines, and a desire to grow into a senior leadership role.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operations & Execution (Founder's Right-Hand)

Drive Business Rhythm: Facilitate daily team calls (BOD/EOD), track commitments, and ensure decisions turn into completed actions across the team.
Eliminate Bottlenecks: Unblock operational exceptions across Acquisitions, Dispositions, and Transaction Management so the founder can focus on high-level growth and strategy.
Build & Enforce SOPs: Standardize internal workflows, onboarding/offboarding processes, and team documentation.
Maintain Deadline Culture: Enforce clear accountability across all projects using the "What, Who, and When" principle.

2. Cross-Department Oversight

Acquisitions: Keep visibility on high-priority leads, ensure prompt team follow-ups, and make sure promising opportunities never fall through the cracks.
Dispositions & Transactions: Track properties from contract signing to closing and final sale, supporting transaction and sales coordinators to prevent delays.
Switch-Hitter Flexibility: Step in to assist where needed during high-volume pushes (e.g., helping cover phone inquiries or ad-hoc tasks during major marketing pushes).

3. Hiring & Team Support

Recruitment Assistance: Help source, screen, and coordinate hiring for specialized operational roles (e.g., text message marketers, lead managers, transaction coordinators).
Onboarding & Offboarding: Own the end-to-end administrative setup for new hires and contractors.

What We Are Looking For

Grit & High Ownership: You naturally take full responsibility for outcomes, proactively solve problems, and follow tasks through to completion without needing to be reminded.
Uncomfortable with Ambiguity: You step in, ask clarifying questions, create order out of chaos, and drive clarity.
Strong Communication: Confident, clear written and verbal English communication. Comfortable leading daily check-ins with remote team members.
Growth Mindset: High coachability and a strong desire to learn the nuances of US land investing under direct guidance from the founder.
Relevant Experience: 2–4+ years in operations coordination, project management, or administrative leadership (experience in real estate, sales operations, or remote US-based startups is a strong bonus).
