We are looking for a Technical Sales Engineer.

How would you help an industrial customer reduce energy consumption, improve equipment performance and make a stronger case for investment?

HumanGrounds is recruiting a Technical Sales Engineer on behalf of an international industrial technology company. This opportunity brings together consultative sales, engineering knowledge and a practical focus on helping customers improve the efficiency of their operations.

You will work directly with industrial businesses to understand their challenges, identify opportunities for improvement and develop commercially compelling solutions. From the first site visit to reviewing results after implementation, you will play an active role in turning technical recommendations into successful customer projects.

The opportunity

This role offers scope to build customer relationships, develop new business and work closely with technical specialists. You will connect what is happening on the production floor with what matters to the decision-maker: operating costs, reliability, energy performance and return on investment.

Working with regional business development leadership and local sales and service colleagues, you will:

Find opportunities for growth: Build a pipeline through customer engagement, site assessments, market insight and collaboration with colleagues across the business.
Understand the operational challenge: Review equipment applications and measurement data to identify where improvements can deliver meaningful value.
Build the investment case: Translate technical findings into clear proposals that explain the expected benefits, costs and commercial rationale.
Drive the sales process: Engage stakeholders, present recommendations, progress quotations and negotiate opportunities through to agreement.
Connect the right expertise: Bring together sales, engineering and field service teams to shape suitable solutions and coordinate delivery.
Follow through on results: Stay close to customers during implementation and afterwards, supporting performance reviews and addressing technical questions.
Develop your specialist knowledge: Build expertise in the solutions portfolio and share practical insight with customers and colleagues.

What you bring

You are comfortable discussing technical applications and confident explaining their commercial value. You enjoy asking questions, understanding how a customer operates and developing a solution that addresses a real business need.
We are looking for:

At least 3 of sales experience, with exposure to industrial products, equipment or technical solutions.
A degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline would be a strong advantage.
Relevant postgraduate studies would also be valued.
A sound understanding of industrial applications and the ability to interpret technical information.
The communication and relationship-building skills to work with both technical teams and business decision-makers.
Strong Greek language skills and a good working command of English.
Confidence using digital tools, preparing proposals and keeping sales opportunities accurately recorded.
A valid driving licence and willingness to travel regularly to customer sites.

What you can expect

€2,500–€3,000 gross monthly salary, depending on experience.
A substantial annual performance bonus, with potential to earn between 2-4 monthly salaries.
Company car and coverage of business travel expenses.
Private life and medical insurance, including cover for dependants.
Meal benefits and additional allowances for qualifying overnight business travel.
Flexibility to work remotely within Greece, combined with regular collaboration at the Athens office and customer visits.
Ongoing learning and opportunities for career development within an international business.
A working environment that encourages ownership, collaboration and practical ideas.
