About the Role

We are seeking a strategic, culture-building, and systems-driven Manager – Human Resources & Administration to oversee the HR governance, organizational performance culture, and administrative backbone of the company. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this position is responsible for running a lean, high-performing HR function—covering end-to-end recruitment, payroll coordination, rolling 12-to-24 month salary forecasting, office budget management, performance cycle administration, and corporate presentation standards.

Responsibilities

HR Governance & Payroll Management: Oversee payroll processing with external providers, enforce strict statutory compliance (EPF/ETF and Sri Lankan labor laws), maintain audit-ready digital files, and manage employee contracts, leave, and probation timelines.
Strategic Workforce Planning & Salary Forecasting: Maintain a rolling 12 to 24 month salary forecast aligned with company expansion and project portfolios; conduct bi-annual salary banding and market benchmark reviews for senior management.
Budget Discipline & Cost Optimization: Own and track the office and salary budgets end-to-end, monitor vendor spend and utility expenses, coordinate monthly variance reports with Finance, and execute annual cost-optimization initiatives.
Recruitment Efficiency & Pipeline Building: Lead full-lifecycle recruitment (role scoping, JDs, candidate shortlisting, and interview coordination); optimize time-to-hire metrics and establish a structured university intern program to build a future talent pipeline.
Performance Cycle & KPI Coordination: Coordinate company-wide annual and mid-year appraisal cycles, manage standardized KPI templates, track review completion across all departments, and support managers with structured feedback and Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs).
Employee Development & Engagement: Maintain team skills and development maps, coordinate cross-functional training plans, conduct annual employee engagement surveys, and maintain a fair grievance resolution framework.
Corporate Brand & Presentation Standards: Set and enforce internal presentation standards across written documents, recruiting collateral, digital channels (LinkedIn/Website), and office environment aesthetics.
Office Administration & Operational Discipline: Manage daily office operations, vendor contracts, asset registers, health and safety compliance, and enforce company-wide "Covering in Absence" arrangements to maintain seamless coverage.
Reporting, Analytics & Automation: Deliver monthly HR dashboards, compile HR inputs for monthly investor and quarterly board packs, and adopt HR automation/AI tools to reduce manual reporting workflows.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Experience: 4 to 8 years of progressive HR and administrative experience, with demonstrated capability in workforce planning, recruitment, and office operations.
Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of Sri Lankan labor regulations, statutory compliance requirements, and payroll coordination mechanisms.
Strategic & Financial Acumen: Strong organizational skills with a data-driven mindset, capable of managing operating budgets and maintaining forward-looking salary forecasts.
Systems & Automation Skills: Experience working with HRIS platforms, MS Office Suite, reporting dashboards, and modern workplace automation tools.
Competencies: High confidentiality, strong leadership, excellent oral and written communication skills, and a structured, accountability-first mindset.

Benefits

Competitive executive salary package supplemented by performance-linked bonus opportunities.
High-visibility strategic leadership role working directly with the CEO and C-suite executives.
Professional development and leadership growth within a dynamic, expanding renewable energy group.
