Job Title: Part-Time Bookkeeper

Location: Philippines
Position Type: Part-Time (Approx. 10 hours/week, with potential for increased coverage hours)
TimeZone: Must overlap with America/Denver business hours
Industry: Private Service Security

About Us

We are a licensed private security provider headquartered in Albuquerque, NM, specializing in on-site protection for retail, commercial, and industrial properties. Our teams are deployed at premier locations, including Winrock Town Center, Montgomery Plaza, and Rio Bravo Square, offering visible patrols, access-control services, and event support. We combine decades of field experience with rigorous training and a commitment to professionalism to ensure responsive, effective protection for our clients’ people and property.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to support our Lead Accountant with recurring financial workflows and serve as a trained backup during planned or unplanned absences.

In this role, you will help manage financial records for our core security operations as well as separate books for our Park operations, each with clearly defined responsibilities. We are looking for someone who works accurately, communicates proactively, and takes ownership of their work within established internal control systems—not just perform routine data entry.

Key Responsibilities

Bookkeeping & Categorization: Maintain QuickBooks accounts, ensure proper transaction coding, and manage multi-entity books.
Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
Accounts Receivable: Prepare invoices, track receivables, and follow up on outstanding balances and missing documents.
Accounts Payable: Enter vendor bills, organize supporting documentation, and prepare payment lists for internal management approval.
Month-End & Documentation: Assist with month-end reporting and help document recurring accounting procedures and workflows.
Backup Coverage: Learn key company-specific accounting processes to seamlessly step in and temporarily increase hours during the Lead Accountant’s time off.

Key Requirements & Qualifications

QuickBooks Expertise: Strong, proven experience using QuickBooks Online or Desktop for small business accounting.
US Small-Business Bookkeeping: Solid foundation in core accounting principles, AR/AP, reconciliations, and internal control compliance.
Multi-Entity Experience: Experience handling books for multiple entities or distinct operational arms is highly desirable.
Communication & Dependability: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proactive in following up on missing information.
High Attention to Detail: Ability to work accurately and independently within established authorization and banking controls.

Schedule & Work Arrangement

Hours: Approximately 10 hours per week or 20 hours per week initially.
Availability: Consistent, scheduled weekly availability with regular overlap during Albuquerque business hours (America/Denver time zone).
Flexibility: Ability to temporarily increase hours to provide coverage when the Lead Accountant is away.
