MOBILE ENGINEER – HVAC/R

Louisville, Kentucky

KEEP BUILDINGS RUNNING. SOLVE PROBLEMS. BE THE GO-TO TECH.

If you’re the kind of engineer who can walk into a mechanical room, troubleshoot the problem, make the repair, and keep moving — this is the opportunity for you.

We’re looking for a hands-on Mobile Engineer with strong HVAC/R and commercial refrigeration experience who can handle more than just one trade. You’ll be responsible for keeping facility systems operating safely, efficiently, and reliably across assigned properties.

This is a role for a problem-solver, not a parts changer.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Operate, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC/R systems and equipment
Perform preventive maintenance and respond to repair work orders
Troubleshoot and maintain commercial and/or supermarket refrigeration systems
Maintain electrical distribution equipment and building electrical systems
Perform plumbing, piping, and mechanical repairs
Handle building interior and exterior repairs, including lighting, flooring, walls, fixtures, roofing, and grounds
Maintain and repair production and material-handling equipment as needed
Conduct facility inspections and identify issues before they become bigger problems
Complete work orders accurately and update status in real time
Use Corrigo or other CMMS systems to document work
Submit P-card receipts daily
Maintain safe, energy-efficient operation of all assigned equipment
Participate in call-in/emergency work when required

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

4+ years of building engineering or facilities maintenance experience
Strong technical background in HVAC/R
Commercial refrigeration and/or supermarket refrigeration experience
Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, piping, and mechanical systems
Ability to troubleshoot equipment and diagnose problems independently
Strong understanding of facility systems, equipment operation, and maintenance
Valid driver's license
High school diploma or GED
Universal CFC/EPA certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment

NICE TO HAVE

CMMS/work order experience
Corrigo experience
Computer skills including Word and Excel
Two years of trade school or documented apprenticeship in HVAC, refrigeration, or electrical systems

WHY THIS ROLE STANDS OUT

You won't be stuck doing the same repair every day. You'll work across multiple building systems, tackle real maintenance challenges, and put your HVAC/R expertise and multi-trade skills to work.

If you know HVAC/R, understand refrigeration, can troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems, and take pride in keeping a facility running right — we want to talk to you.
