Role: Sales/Account Executive (SMB Insurance)- 66637062434

Priority Location: South Africa

Working Hours: 9AM - 5PM (Mon - Fri) PST

Salary Range: $2,000 - $2,500 USD ($) per month + commission
(The final offer is at the client’s discretion and depends on the candidate’s interview result, skills, and experience.)

Type of contract: Independent Contractor

Type of job: Remote

About the Role:

The company is a fast-growing email marketing agency that helps insurance businesses win and keep customers. The founder has scaled a previous company with a largely overseas team and is now building this company the same way.

We're hiring our first Account Executive to own the small-business (SMB) segment end to end. Today the founder runs every sales conversation; you'll take the SMB pipeline off his plate and build your own book of recurring revenue from day one.

What You Will Do:

Run the full sales cycle for SMB insurance businesses: discovery, product walkthrough, and close — most deals close on the first call.
Qualify inbound and outbound opportunities quickly and keep the pipeline moving.
Tailor each walkthrough to the prospect's business and show clearly how the business’ email programs drive results.
Handle objections and pricing conversations with confidence, and ask for the business.
Keep the CRM accurate and report on pipeline, conversion, and MRR closed.
Share what you hear on calls with the founder to sharpen messaging, pricing, and the offer.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required Qualifications

3+ years in a closing role (Account Executive or similar), ideally selling to small businesses.
A proven track record in short-cycle, one-call-close sales, with numbers to show for it.
Strong discovery skills: you find the pain fast and connect it to the solution.
Excellent spoken and written English and a confident, consultative style on video calls.
Self-driven and comfortable owning a segment with minimal oversight in a fast-moving, founder-led company.
Motivated by commission and by building a growing book of recurring revenue.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience selling marketing services, SaaS, or agency retainers.
Familiarity with the insurance industry or selling to insurance agencies.
Experience working remotely with US-based companies and customers.

Compensation & Success:

Base salary: USD $2,000–$2,500 per month, depending on experience.
Commission: Paid on new MRR you close, so your earnings grow with your book.
What success looks like: A strong AE here closes roughly $10,000–$15,000 in new MRR per month once ramped.
Why join: Own a whole segment at a company that's growing fast, work directly with an experienced founder, and get in early on a team being built for the long term.
