I work with one of Italy’s fastest-growing AI startups to hire the SDR Team Lead for its first international hub in Barcelona. They use AI to help companies find, analyse and win public tenders, a market worth hundreds of billions of euros a year in Europe that still runs largely on manual work. Founded in September 2025, they’ve raised €7.6M, including a €6M seed led by Keen Venture Partners in September 2026.

The growth

From 35 to 150 active customers in ~5 months
Thousands of public tenders already handled on the platform
Customers across healthcare, IT, services and construction
Second-time founders, backed by Keen Venture Partners and Italian Founders Fund
Spain is their first international market, Barcelona their first hub outside Italy

The role

A true builder seat: you’ll lead a team of 3–4 SDRs (growing to 4–5) while staying hands-on, and directly shape how the Spanish outbound playbook, messaging and process get built. Reporting to the Head of Sales, you’ll work across coaching, multichannel prospecting, qualification and the SDR → AE handoff, with cross-functional input from GTM, Marketing and RevOps.

Sales motion

Outbound-led B2B, selling to companies that compete for public contracts. Phone, email and LinkedIn. Playbook still being written, by you.

Compensation

€45–55K OTE (€30–40K fixed + ~€15K variable)

We’re looking for

Real experience leading SDRs or BDRs, with ownership of team targets and coaching
Strong track record in B2B outbound and pipeline generation
Native-level Spanish (mandatory), professional English
Hands-on, data-driven, comfortable on the phone
Comfortable in a fast-moving, still-being-built environment

Nice to have: B2B SaaS/AI background, having built an SDR playbook from scratch, hiring and onboarding SDRs.

Why now: real ownership from day one, a product with proven traction, direct access to sales leadership and the founders, and direct influence on the Spanish playbook and sales engine.

This is a chance to build the sales engine for one of Europe’s most promising AI startups, from the ground up.
