We’re looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer in the Pacific Time Zone (Eastern acceptable with PT incident coverage) to manage production infrastructure on AWS. You’ll build with Terraform, run Amazon EKS clusters, maintain CI/CD pipelines for Java and React apps, and lead major incident response. Strong hands-on experience with AWS, EKS and Terraform is a must.

Responsibilities:

Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Design, provision, and maintain production AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform, adhering to modularity and best practices.
Container Orchestration & Cluster Management: Administer, configure, and troubleshoot production Amazon EKS (Kubernetes) clusters, including pod lifecycle, networking, autoscaling, and resource limits.
CI/CD Pipeline Maintenance & Optimization: Maintain and build automated build and deployment pipelines for Java (Maven/Gradle) backend services and React frontend applications.
Runtime & Performance Tuning: Optimize Java application containerization inside EKS, configuring JVM parameters (heap limits, garbage collection) and Kubernetes resources to prevent memory leaks and OOM issues.
Frontend Delivery Management: Configure and maintain static asset hosting and distribution workflows (S3, CloudFront, or Nginx within K8s).
Incident Response & On-Call Coverage: Provide Major Incident support, production troubleshooting, and root cause analysis (RCA), covering Pacific Time (PT) operational hours.
Environment Observability & Security: Implement and monitor cluster metrics, container health, and logging; integrate vulnerability scanning and security gates into CI/CD workflows.
(Optional / Subject to Scope) Salesforce Release Management: Support and maintain deployment automation, sandbox syncs, or release pipelines for Salesforce environments (SFDX/Metadata API), if integrated into the team’s central pipeline.

Must-Haves:

Strong hands-on experience with AWS, EKS, and Terraform.
Terraform is a critical requirement, since the environment follows an IaC model and is mostly managed through Terraform.
