Customer Services Representative

Employment Type: Full-Time, Independent Contractor

Work Model: Remote

Work Hours: US Business Hours alignment

A growing US home services company is hiring a full-time remote phone specialist to be the voice of the business and to own appointment and install scheduling across many cities.

About the role

You will be the first and last voice customers hear. You will handle every incoming call and concern, from a simple question to an upset customer, and book appointments and installs across a wide service area. Success means every caller feels heard, cared for, and confident the issue is handled before they hang up, and the schedule runs smoothly. Administrative and back-office duties are added over time as you grow into the role.

Required Qualifications

Exceptional phone presence: warm, natural in conversation, and able to calm upset customers
Clear, fluent US English on the phone
A reliable track record and proven dependability, including showing up consistently
Experience with high-volume, multi-city scheduling in home services, dispatch, or field installs

Preferred Qualifications

Experience leading or owning a scheduling function, not only booking into one
Experience building reports on scheduling, show rates, and team performance
Experience writing down operations processes so others can follow them
Comfort handling CRM work and several vendors and systems cleanly
Back-office experience such as warranty processing, inventory tracking, vendor reporting, and e-signature tools

Responsibilities

Answer incoming calls and customer concerns at a five-star level
Book appointments and installs across a large territory, learning the details of each city, including drive times, designer and installer coverage, and local customer expectations
Upload customer contracts
Track escalations and keep customers updated
Call back on unsold quotes
Confirm installs are ready and follow up on remakes
Take on additional administrative tasks as you are trained

Who thrives in this role

Dependable and consistent, the person the team can count on every day
Patient and kind with frustrated callers
Organized, with a good head for calendars and logistics
Detail-minded when juggling several systems at once
Takes ownership and follows a problem through to the end
