At Ensitech, we are a custom software development company with more than 20 years of experience delivering high-quality technology solutions.

We are looking for a Corporate IT Lead to own our global corporate IT operations, security, SOC 2 compliance, and employee technology experience. This is a high-autonomy, solo senior role (70% operational, 30% strategic) focused on scaling through vendor oversight, MSP management, and system governance rather than managing internal IT staff. You will oversee hardware lifecycles and application environments for a distributed remote workforce across US, UK, and European time zones. Candidates from Argentina are strongly preferred, with flexibility required to collaborate across international teams.

Key Responsibilities

IT OPERATIONS & EMPLOYEE EXPERIENCE

Own company-wide IT service delivery for a globally distributed workforce.
Ensure employees have a reliable, responsive, and low-friction technology experience from onboarding through offboarding.
Own MSP and contractor relationships, establishing clear scopes, performance metrics, and oversight mechanisms. Step in directly when needed to ensure issues are resolved and maintain accountability for service quality.
Own employee lifecycle processes including hardware access, onboarding, offboarding, and external user provisioning.
Ensure support coverage works effectively across US and UK/European working hours.
Own the global hardware and endpoint lifecycle including standards, security, inventory, replacement, and vendor execution.
Oversee both WINDOWS AND MACOS environments.

CORPORATE IT STRATEGY & SYSTEMS

Develop and propose corporate IT strategy in partnership with the SVP of Engineering and other company leaders.
Proactively identify risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities across the corporate technology environment.
Maintain a clear view of the company's major systems, integrations, systems of record, ownership, dependencies, and information flow.
Challenge unnecessary duplication, poor integrations, weak ownership, avoidable cost, and maintainability risk.
Own comprehensive SaaS and application governance, including software inventory, access controls, license cost management, rationalization, and review of new tools. Maintain current awareness of all corporate applications and their business value.
Oversee the contractor responsible for CRM administration and provide technical governance for CRM and other business systems.

IDENTITY, SECURITY & COMPLIANCE

Own identity and access management across the corporate environment, including SSO, MFA, PRIVILEGED ACCESS, and joiner/mover/leaver processes.
Own Smartwyre's SOC 2 COMPLIANCE PROGRAM END-TO-END including audit coordination, evidence collection, control operation, remediation, and collaboration with control owners.
Own corporate IT security across endpoints, identity, SaaS applications, vendors, and corporate information systems.
Lead response to corporate IT security incidents and participate in broader company incident response when needed.
Own third-party technology and vendor security review and ongoing vendor relationship health.
Maintain corporate IT and security policies as needed to support compliance and current operations.

INFORMATION MANAGEMENT

Own Smartwyre's corporate information management framework in partnership with executives and department leaders.
Establish and maintain standards for information ownership, access, retention, sharing, location, and lifecycle.
Ensure important corporate system processes, integrations, and administrative responsibilities are documented and transferable.
Maintain clear, current IT role and process documentation.

AI GOVERNANCE

Own Smartwyre's approved AI toolkit and AI usage policies.
Evaluate AI tools, agents, connectors, and integrations for security and data-handling risk.
Track AI adoption and spend and proactively evaluate useful new AI capabilities.
Coordinate AI training and enablement as part of the company's broader IT training program.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of IT experience including experience acting as accountable owner for IT operations in a remote environment.
SOC 2 & Compliance: Experience owning or materially leading a SOC 2, ISO 27001, or comparable security/compliance program. You understand audit processes, evidence collection, control operation, and how to drive remediation.
Identity & Access Management (Entra ID): Strong working knowledge of identity and access management, including SSO, MFA, privileged access, SaaS access controls, and employee lifecycle management (joiner/mover/leaver process). Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Entra ID—deep specialist expertise is not required.
Microsoft 365 & SaaS Governance: Experience with SaaS application ownership, software inventory, license cost management, access controls, and systems governance. You're comfortable maintaining a current, accurate view of an organization's application portfolio and can identify cost and risk issues. Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 is expected.
Windows Endpoint Management: Experience managing Windows endpoint environments, including security configuration, lifecycle processes, patch management, and remote support. You understand how to scale endpoint management in distributed environments.
macOS Endpoint Management: Experience supporting and managing macOS environments, including MDM enrollment, security baselines, and lifecycle processes. You understand the operational differences between managing Windows and macOS fleets.
MSP & Vendor Management: Experience managing, evaluating, and holding MSPs and IT vendors accountable. You understand how to define scope, measure performance, establish oversight mechanisms, and ensure quality when you're not directly executing the work. This is critical to our operating model.
General Requirements:
- Ability to understand system integrations, data flows, and dependencies.
- Strong written documentation and communication skills.
- Comfort and proven ability operating as a solo, senior independent contributor. You identify problems proactively, gather stakeholder input, propose solutions, make sound decisions independently, and drive approved work through implementation—without building a team underneath you.
