THE ROLE

A private family based in Geneva (Rive Gauche) is seeking a Senior Housekeeper — an experienced, highly organised professional who will oversee the daily running and presentation of the family residence, across housekeeping standards, laundry and garment care, inventory and supplies, and coordination with external service providers.

This is a permanent, full-time appointment, Monday to Friday, for someone who combines discretion, attention to detail, sound judgement and a calm, reliable presence. The position is non-residential.
Working hours: To be confirmed. This is not a purely operational role: the right candidate anticipates needs, maintains exacting standards without prompting, and earns the family's trust over time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee the daily housekeeping of the residence, ensuring consistently high standards of cleanliness, order and presentation.
Plan and supervise deep cleaning, seasonal tasks and preparation of the residence for family events and guests.
Manage laundry, ironing and the care of delicate garments, linens and household textiles.
Care for furnishings and delicate materials: apply the appropriate methods and products for each surface.
Maintain inventories of household supplies, linens and cleaning products, and manage purchasing within agreed budgets.
Coordinate with external providers such as maintenance contractors and specialist services, and oversee their work in the residence.
Supervise and guide any additional household staff, setting clear routines and standards.
Report to the family on household needs, anticipate issues and handle all matters with strict discretion.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

At least 10 years of relevant experience, with meaningful responsibility for housekeeping in a private household or an equivalent high-end environment.
Backgrounds of particular interest: private households, high-end hotels and serviced residences.
Demonstrated expertise in fabric, garment and surface care, and in managing household supplies and budgets.
Proven ability to organise and prioritise independently, and to supervise others with tact.
Absolute discretion, integrity and professional composure.
Availability to travel with the family when required.
Languages: English is essential; French would be a valued asset.

COMPENSATION

The salary is CHF 6,500 gross per month, paid over 13 months (CHF 84,500 gross per annum).
