Business Controller FinTech - Mechhive

Numbers only add up once you know what lies behind them. As Business Controller FinTech at Mechhive in Eindhoven, you dive into complex financial data and turn your insights into concrete advice for the business. At the same time, you stay close to day-to-day finance, so you are just as comfortable tackling operational issues as strategic ones. Want to help build a finance function that is becoming more automated every year? Read on.

What will you be doing?

You own the day-to-day finance operation, from invoicing and cash flow management to the monthly, quarterly and year-end close. In your first few months, you also help finalise the books so the annual accounts can be signed off. On top of that, you reconcile the payment flows and cost structures of various payment service providers (PSPs). You investigate discrepancies, check that costs have been charged correctly and make sure the financial information is reliable and transparent.

Where does the work get really interesting? In the data. Using Mechhive's in-house software, you analyse large, complex datasets that often go well beyond what a standard spreadsheet can handle. You turn trends and anomalies into reliable insights and reports that give management a clear view of performance, risks and opportunities for improvement. You also help translate new developments and integrations into efficient, scalable finance processes, thinking beyond the systems already in place.

You are also a sparring partner for Sebastiaan (CEO). You assess the financial impact of new ideas and commercial decisions, and you are not afraid to push back when needed. Alongside this, you take on a wide range of issues, from contract reviews for the commercial team to strategic analyses.

Why Mechhive?

At Mechhive, you work at the intersection of accounting, financial control, business control and treasury. International payment flows, large datasets and complex cost structures demand more than traditional financial expertise, and it is exactly that variety that makes the work so challenging. We invest heavily in automation and have even built our own software, with the ambition of developing finance into a strategic business partner. In our compact team, you have the freedom to bring in ideas, develop new ways of working and tackle financial challenges your own way.
