Position: Senior Accountant- Financial Reporting & Inventory

Client Profile- National Retailer

Location- Westchester Country, NY

Responsibilities:

Financial statement preparation, financial reporting, and month-end closings.
Perform extensive analysis of balance sheet and other financial statements.
Assists the Director of Financial Reporting and Analysis with financial reporting responsibilities
Responsible for the oversight and governance of inventory system:
Manage year-end physical inventories including the planning and coordination with Auditors – KPMG
Partner with with finance and non-finance partners to resolve inventory discrepancies
Identify areas of opportunity/weakness and recommend solutions for achieving optimal efficiency in a controlled environment
Develop inventory analysis reports and analyze variances.
Audit discrepancy reports that come in from the stores
Manage Warehouse physical inventory cycle count process and corresponding adjustments

Qualifications :

2-4 years of Big 4 Public Accounting Experience
Inventory accounting or audit experience is a plus
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance
CPA, MBA/MS Accounting required
Intermediate/Advanced PC Skills - Excel, Word and Access
