Position: Senior Manager, Accounting-Vendor Management

Client Profile- National Retailer

Location- Westchester Country, NY

Description:
Responsible for controlling the North American Facilities and Vendor spend and properly recognizing it in the
financial statements (P&L - repairs and maintenance, Balance Sheet – accruals, Statement of Cash
Flows – CapX – both growth and maintenance) in the appropriate accounting period

Responsibilities:

Financial statement preparation, financial reporting, and month-end closings.
Vendor vetting and set up process/policy in accounts payable and associated policies and
controls.
Actual to Budget/Forecast Review Process – P&L R&M, CAPX
Perform extensive analysis of balance sheet and other financial statements.
Review Vendor spend, repairs and maintenance of expense P&L accounts view
on a trended basis to detect anomalies.
Assess the following for all Real Estate and Facilities services (construction and repairs and maintenance) spend in any given accounting period:
- committed to, requested or planned services but not performed.
- performed and invoiced (invoices in AP sub ledger)
- performed but not invoiced (needing accrual)
Maintains master data around all key / significant vendors (establishes complete population)
Working with key stakeholders across the business to improve the invoice approval process
Coordinates set-up of new vendors and communicate logistical and operational requirements
Monitors all monthly vendor statement reconciliations performed by AP and ensures
completeness

People Managed

The role will have 1 to 2 direct reports.

Qualifications :

5 years of blended public/private accounting experience
Inventory accounting or audit experience is a plus
Managerial experience is perferred
Vendor management experience
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance
CPA, MBA/MS Accounting required
Intermediate/Advanced PC Skills - Excel, Word and Access
